Sam Ponder’s Brutal Message About Tom Brady’s Bucs Goes Viral

Sam Ponder is widely regarded as one of the best NFL broadcasters on all of TV.
She routinely blows up on a weekly basis for her various monologues, hot takes and general analysis.
This week, she did it once more – this time training her fire on Tom Brady’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
In the midst of a brutal effort by the Bucs that saw them eventually fall to the San Francisco 49ers 35-7, Ponder tweeted out this message:
My 5 year old thinks Tampa Bay is called the “Butts” and tbh I don’t think I’m gonna correct him today

Yikes.
NFL fans are a polarized and fickle bunch, so reactions to Ponder’s tweet were largely what you would expect:
Why don’t you ask Tom Brady after the game if you could put his shoes on…then walk in them and go home and tell him they the Bucks…let kept it professional..js..

Well that’s how they are playing no doubt

Teach him about when we used to call them the “YUCS”

I’m a Bucs fan and this made me laugh. The kid is not wrong.

Has he seen his dad play

I watched the ESPN pregame show today for the first time in forever. I heard more interesting and intelligent comments from here when picking games than from the 4 former players and coaches sitting on set next to her. And this one is a smart move by her, too. https://t.co/n32mgFi7B7

Ponder has been in the headlines quite a bit in recent weeks. Between her crying on ESPN over Deshaun Watson’s return and then the controversy that erupted over her outfit during her Sunday NFL show – it has been one thing after another with her.
In that respect, Ponder making news this weekend too is just par for the course.
Dame liked what he saw. https://t.co/ALU8kOQmWN

What will the respected ESPN broadcaster ultimately go viral for next?
Time will tell.
