Vikings Issue Troubling Injury Update Before 49ers Game
The Vikings issued a troubling injury update before the 49ers game this Saturday.
Minnesota wide receiver Adam Thielen injured his ankle during practice earlier in the week. The injury stemmed from him clipping the cleats of a teammate and was apparently serious enough to warrant stitches.
There was some hope that this would not hinder him too badly heading into the big outing this weekend, but apparently that is not going to be the case.
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Thielen will be considered “questionable” for the match-up.

Thielen has been a very important part of Kirk Cousins’ better-than-expected year.
Cousins’ passer rating is a full 24 points better than average when he is targeting Thielen.
On the season, Thielen has recorded 418 yards and six touchdowns on 30 catches.
Last week, Thielen was instrumental in helping Minnesota upset the New Orleans Saints. It was his 43-yard grab that ultimately set up the winning touchdown play.
If the Vikings want any shot at upsetting the Niners this weekend, they will need Thielen to play and play well.
