San Francisco 49ers Make Unexpected Injury Update

The San Francisco 49ers made an unexpected injury update this week.

Following J.J. Watt’s impressive return from injury, another NFL star has set his sights on doing the same.

Linebacker Kwon Alexander was thought to be out for the year when suffered a torn pec in Week 9. However, he may be aiming to rejoin San Francisco sooner than that.

According to ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter, Alexander has recovered quicker than expected and may be available to play in the team’s divisional round game.

Alexander recorded 34 tackles in eight games before suffering his injury.

Beyond just getting Alexander back, the Niners will also likely see the return of pass rusher Dee Ford next weekend.

Ford sat out of the team’s last three regular season outings due quad and hamstring ailments. On the season he has recorded 6.5 sacks.
