Saquon Barkley's Girlfriend Anna Congdon’s Latest Video Goes Viral
Saquon Barkley’s girlfriend Anna Congdon saw her latest video go viral this week amid his faceoff with the New York Giants over his contract.
Barkley, 26, is coming off a fantastic year that saw him stay healthy and pump fresh life into his team’s offense. Understandably, given that he powered the Giants into the playoffs, he now wants to get paid.
So far New York has presented him with a one-year, $10.1 million franchise tender he is unwilling to sign. Barkley, obviously, wants a long-term deal.
Back in May, there were reports that Barkley rejected an offer that could have paid him as much as $14 million per year. It was said that he was looking for $16+ million annually, which would make him the highest paid running back in the NFL – ahead of Christian McCaffrey.
The two sides now have until July 17 to agree on a long-term deal.
One person who is supporting Barkley from the sidelines is his longtime girlfriend, Congdon. This week she published a video to social media that immediately caused something of a stir.

Why did the video go so mega-viral? Because it reminded one and all that football isn’t everything when it comes to Barkley. He has a family to take care of, and his decision-making is rooted in that – not what is best for the Giants’ salary cap situation.
This also isn’t the first time in recent months that Congdon has blown up online. Between her going viral at his games and her social media activity, she occasionally finds herself in the headlines.
That said – Congdon definitely keeps a lower profile than certain other NFL partners. Whereas Dak Prescott’s girlfriend set the internet ablaze with her boat party photos this week, and Trevor Lawrence’s wife did the same with her beach day pictures, Congdon tends to be more low key.
Despite that, she still has a massive amount of followers on social media and her posts routinely do extremely well in terms of engagement.

Big picture, it will be interesting to see how Barkley and the Giants come to an agreement here.
Barkley is coming off a campaign that saw him record 1,312 yards and 10 touchdowns while rushing the ball a career-high 295 times. In the process, he earned his second-ever Pro Bowl nod.
Between that and Daniel Jones getting a massive payday from the Giants, of course he wants to get his share of the pie.

That being said, running back is a tough position to spend big money on in the NFL. Plus, Barkley has struggled to stay healthy. There’s a reason this is only the second season in his career where he has earned a Pro Bowl nod. The first came during his rookie campaign. He gets hurt – a lot.
One way or another, tough decisions will need to be made.
Will Barkley ultimately suit up for the Giants in 2023-24? Time will tell, but either way Congdon will be there cheering him on every step of the way.
