Sam Ponder’s hair on Sunday’s edition of ESPN NFL Countdown caused something of a stir.
It goes without saying that Ponder has a certain knack for making headlines over her appearance.
Last week, her ‘salacious’ outfit was the hot topic of conversation.
This week it’s her hair. Fan reactions to her hair speak for themselves:

It will be interesting to see if Ponder’s hair blows up online the same way her ESPN co-worker, Molly Qerim, did this weekend over her provocative Thanksgiving Day outfit.
Interestingly enough, while Ponder’s hair was a huge topic of conversation on Sunday morning, it wasn’t the only thing from her show that made headlines.
Alex Smith also set the internet ablaze with a fiery rant in response to Tom Brady’s critical comments on the current state of the NFL:
Alex Smith just made excellent points about Tom Brady’s “the NFL is worse” take while side-swiping two former Patriots and accidentally obliterating a former head coach of the Jets AND Bills. Immaculate television. pic.twitter.com/WsCBx9Y58b

“He hasn’t been retired that long,” Smith said.
“He was just playing. He just won a Super Bowl in the current game. Is he discounting that one?”
Smith didn’t stop there, though.

“He played in the most uncompetitive division, I think, in NFL history,” he continued. “You come out of training camp in the biggest cupcake division. You got a ticket to the playoffs right away. Talk about mediocre.”
Talk about a hot take.
Everyone will be talking about ESPN’s NFL Countdown show come Monday. Will it be because of Ponder’s hair or Smith’s fiery rebuke towards Brady? Time will tell.
