Kay Adams’ Video With Broncos Coach Sean Payton Goes Viral

Kay Adams and Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton saw their video together go viral this week.

Payton, who was brought in to replace Nathaniel Hackett over the offseason, has obviously been in the headlines nonstop over the past few months. Sometimes it was for positive things, other times it was for negative ones – but his newsmaking ability has been unmatched.

Adams, meanwhile, has been on a tour of NFL teams and training camps over the past couple of weeks. Between her photos with Aaron Rodgers and handsy encounters with certain other quarterbacks she has been a mainstay in the news cycle, too.

On Thursday, Payton sat down with Adams for an exclusive interview. It didn’t take long for their video to go mega-viral.

Payton, for his part, had nothing but good things to say about his new quarterback, Russell Wilson.

“He has been fantastic,” Payton said.

“He’s one of the first ones here and the last ones to leave. He’ll step into my office, and we’ll talk about a package on offense, all of those things. It’s been great. He’s in great shape, down 15 pounds.

“One of the things he does well is off-scheduled plays. When something breaks down, he can escape and keep a play alive. He does that extremely well.”

This of course will likely be music to Broncos fanss ears, given how much resistance Payton initially showed to having Wilson be his starting quarterback.

So far the biggest splash Payton has made in Denver has been for him and his new wife going viral at a Denver Nuggets game. The city yearns for a winning product on the football field, though.

And if Payton can deliver it, he will be treated even better here than he was in New Orleans.

The big question is how Wilson will respond to him coming in. Early reports out of training camp had him throwing a lot of bad passes and interceptions. But as the days have progressed, those reports have declined. Instead they have been replaced by tales of him hitting the likes of Courtland Sutton and Adam Trautman with accurate bombs.

It will be interesting to see what version of Wilson ultimately shows up in 2023.

If Wilson and Payton can make some sort of magic happen in the looming NFL season, this likely won’t be the last time Adams stops by to interview them.
