Giants Party Video With Daniel Jones, Saquon Barkley Sparks Controversy
A video seemingly showing New York Giants stars out and about at some sort of party has gone viral over the past 24 hours. Team quarterback Daniel Jones and running back Saquon Barkley appear to be at the event, among others. Nobody in the clip looks to be taking any sort of COVID-19 precautionary measures.
The videos speak for themselves.

The video seemingly comes from a New York man who goes by DJ Lugghead. Although the original clip was deleted after it went viral, copies of it lived on thanks to the magic of the internet. Afterward, the man in question reportedly tried to claim that it was old footage, but eagle-eyed observers pointed out that they saw rookies from this year in the clip. If it were old, that would be impossible.
Giants (including Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley) allegedly spotted out last night partying without masks after video from DJ hits social media.
DJ claims video is old and deletes, but it appears to have two rookies in it. Giants team source says they’re looking into it. https://t.co/wCiErUUgAO

If the video were recent and accurate, it would indicate that Jones and Barkley escaped necessary quarantining measures to participate in the event. That would be a violation of the league’s COVID-19 protocols.
Naturally, fans had some reactions.
Seriously, how hard is it not to go out and get hammered during a pandemic? They have unlimited resources to safely do this at home.

Don’t worry if they get tested and it comes up positive… by next game time it will be negative anyway.

As of Saturday afternoon, the Giants have yet to address the video circulating around. One way or another, a comment of some sort has to be inevitable.
The Giants are currently 1-6 on the season after this past Monday night’s heartbreaking defeat at the hands of the Philadelphia Eagles.
Next up, New York will take on Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Nov. 2.
