The Cowboys vs Eagles winner is obvious, says ESPN.
Heading into Sunday’s big showdown between Dallas and Philadelphia, the stakes are high.
If the Cowboys win, they are in the playoffs. Plain and simple. With a victory over Philly, the would lock up the NFC East divisional title and earn the No. 4 seed in the postseason.
It would mark the first time since 1996 that Dallas had captured back-to-back divisional titles.
If the Eagles win, things are slightly more complicated. Essentially a victory over Dallas would allow the team to control its own destiny.
A Philly win coupled with either a victory over the New York Giants in Week 17 or Dallas losing to the Washington Redskins next week would secure the Eagles a trip to the playoffs.
In terms of momentum, both teams are doing decently. The Eagles started the year off slowly but he have rebounded somewhat nicely. Dallas has had a year full of dramatics, but ultimately won in impressive fashion versus the LA Rams last week.
The big storyline heading into this one is Dak Prescott’s health. Dallas’ star quarterback has been held out of practice all week long. Early indications are that he will play no matter what, but it remains to be seen how effective he will be.
According to ESPN’s computer model, the Cowboys have a 54.9 percent chance of winning Sunday’s big game.
Will Dallas ultimately prove the worldwide leader right? Time will tell.
