Jimmy Garoppolo Makes History During 49ers vs Packers
Jimmy Garoppolo made history during the 49ers vs Packers game on Sunday.
Garoppolo managed the game about as well as you could, while not having any sort of significant offensive impact on the outcome.
He did not make any mistakes, but he also did not do anything particularly exceptional. Essentially, he had a typical Ryan Tannehill-esque postseason outing.
When it was all said and done, Garoppolo emerged from the 37-20 victory with a pretty interesting stat line: 77 yards on ix-of-eight passing.
So Jimmy Garoppolo with 8 pass attempts in the game.. fewest ever in conference championship history.

According to Trey Wingo of ESPN, Garoppolo is now the record holder for the fewest passing attempts in conference title history.
Presumably Garoppolo will need to air the ball out a little more in the Super Bowl if he hopes to defeat the Kansas City Chiefs, but that is a problem for another day.
