Drew Brees Makes Surprising 2020 Decision About Saints
Drew Brees made a surprising 2020 decision about the Saints this week.
Heading into the postseason, most of the fanfare has been surrounding Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
Gone almost unnoticed is the fact that Brees is also likely reaching the final chapters of his career.
That obviously begs the question: what will the 40-year-old future Hall of Famer do after this year?
According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, Brees’ mind is already made up.
He isn’t going anywhere.
From @NFLGameDay: #Saints QB Drew Brees is in the final year of his deal. It seems very clear he’ll be back in New Orleans, but what if he wins it all this year? pic.twitter.com/K616xWdzIl

“Brees is also in the final year of his contract, could potentially be playing his last game with the Saints, right?” Rapoport said.
“No, no. We talked to people close to Drew Brees, and they say a couple things.
“First of all: he wants to remain in New Orleans, and the likelihood is they get together and work something out after the season.
“They have done this before, they’ve been in this situation a couple years back.
“Expect a very short term deal or, the last resort, potentially a franchise tag.”
Brees is a New Orleans legend and key to any Super Bowl runs the Saints hope to make in the coming couple of years.
The fact that he is set on returning in 2020 is no doubt music to the ears of the organization and all its fans.

“That obviously begs the question”
Grammar Nazi says, “ACHTUNG!!”
This RAISES the question, it does not “beg” the question. “Begging the question” is a fallacy of logic in an argument. Google it.
