What This Means for the Defense
Green Bay’s defensive front is now a legitimate strength. Wyatt at the three-technique. Rashan Gary rushing off the edge. Kenny Clark still eating blocks in the middle. That’s a foundation you can win with.
The rest of the defense has holes. The secondary needs another cornerback. The linebacker corps is still adjusting to new coordinator hire. But if the front seven can get after the quarterback and stop the run, the rest of the pieces get easier.
The Contract Structure
The $20 million signing bonus is the key. That gives the Packers cap flexibility across the deal. They can prorate it over the full contract, which lowers Wyatt’s annual cap hit.
