Derrick Henry Mocks Earl Thomas After Ravens-Titans
Derrick Henry mocked Earl Thomas after the Ravens-Titans game on Saturday night.
Coming into the outing, Thomas talked a lot of trash about the opposition.
When he was pressed on the New England Patriots’ inability to stop Henry and the Tennessee rushing attack, he dismissed it and essentially said his defense was better.
This weekend, he was unable to back up those words.
Henry rushed for 195 yards in his team’s divisional round victory over Baltimore, and he put up an exclamation point on that number with one particularly brutal play.
In the second quarter, Henry ripped off a 27-yard run that was punctuated by a memorable stiff arm on Thomas of all people. The stiff arm caused Thomas to spin in a circle.

After the game, Henry was asked what he said to Thomas after it was all said and done.
“I just said, ‘Good to see you, Earl. Good to see you, man. Hopefully we can do this again,'”
Of course, that is not really all that was said. The TV mics caught more of the exchange.
“Good (expletive), Earl,” Henry could be heard saying.
Still, Henry took everything that transpired in stride.
“I think that’s a part of the game,” he responded when pressed about Thomas’ comments.
“Some guys like to say stuff to get (themselves), get their defense fired up, and I think that’s what he was doing.
“And I just go play.”
Next up, Henry and the Titans will take on the winner of Sunday’s Kansas City Chiefs versus Houston Texans showdown.

He was doing an interview on national TV. He actually said “Good hit Earl!”. Not as good a quote for a reporter spinning a story, but hey, anything goes these days, right reporters?
Good game, Derrick! Stay classy, stay mean, and let the reporters spin their yarn. One of you will be remembered after retirement.
How’s the shade journalists?
