Denver Broncos Make Final Joe Flacco Decision For 2020
The Denver Broncos made a final Joe Flacco decision for 2020 this past week. The organization will be heading in a different direction.
According to NFL insider Mike Kelis, Denver is looking to either trade or release the former Super Bowl champ by the end of this week. This move comes on the heels of the team adding former Detroit Lions backup quarter Jeff Driskel via free agency.
John Elway originally signed Flacco to a three-year, $66 million deal that featured a $40 million signing bonus.
Despite his hefty payday, Flacco never quite lived up to the contract. He ended up playing just half a season due to injuries and poor performance, and ultimately lost the job to Drew Lock.

Over the course of his brief run, Flacco recorded six touchdown passes and five interceptions in eight games, with most of those touchdowns coming against a hapless Jacksonville Jaguars squad.
Lock has officially been named the Broncos’ starter going forward.
On his watch, the team went 4-1 in the last five outings of the year. While that is obviously a small sample size, it is still better than what Denver was doing under Flacco’s watch.
It will be interesting to see if the Broncos are ultimately able to get anything for Flacco when it’s all said and done.
