Colin Kaepernick Has New Plan For Landing On NFL Team
Colin Kaepernick has a new plan for landing on an NFL team.
Kaepernick, 32, held a much-hyped workout last Saturday in Georgia.
Originally he was supposed to attend an NFL-sponsored event where representatives from 20+ teams would come out and assess his abilities.
For about half of last week, that was the plan.
Unfortunately, on Saturday, Kaepernick decided to throw a curve ball at all involved and change venues – requesting that attendees travel 60 miles from the originally scheduled locale.
Naturally, the 20+ teams that were supposed to come out turned into seven or eight teams.
After Kaepernick’s workout, his agent came out and publicly acknowledged that no teams expressed interest in signing his client after the workout.
Now it appears Kaepernick has a new plan.
According to CBS, Kaepernick is looking into holding a second workout.
“If Kaepernick decides to hold a second workout, he has a simple way to fix that problem: He would plan to hold the workout in a spot that’s easily accessible to for all 32 teams,” CBS wrote.
“So where would that spot be? Palm Beach, Florida. Kaepernick’s agent, Jeff Nalley, recently told ESPN that if a second workout happens, it would likely take place at the NFL Annual League Meeting, which is scheduled to take place from March 29-April 1 in Palm Beach.”
You will recall, an emboldened Kaepernick essentially called out all the league’s owners last Saturday after the workout.
“So we’re waiting for the 32 owners, the 32 teams, Roger Goodell, all of them to stop running, stop running from the truth, stop running from the people,” Kaepernick said.
“Around here, we’re ready to play, we’re ready to go anywhere, my agent Jeff Nalley is ready to talk to any team. I’ll interview with any team at any time.”
Will Kaepernick ultimately get another chance to impress NFL teams?
