Chiefs vs Titans TV Ratings Announced
The Chiefs vs Titans TV ratings were announced on Monday morning.
Many were interested to see whether the rising star of Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes would be enough to compensate for lack of Tom Brady and the New England Patriots.
It was not.
According to CBS statistics, 41.1 million peopled tuned into the AFC Championship Game. That number is down from the 54 million that turned in to watch the Chiefs take on the Patriots in 2019.
It was not quite entirely an apples to apples comparison, though.
The Chiefs-Patriots game from last year was an afternoon game whereas the Chiefs-Titans showdown from yesterday was the early game.
CBS says 41.1 million people watched Sunday’s Titans-Chiefs AFC title game.
Last year’s Chiefs-Pats AFC title game drew 53.9 million viewers.
Last year’s game aired in the late window, which is a big factor.
Clearly, though, CBS missed Tom Brady and the Pats.

That said, CBS is likely disappointed by the reduction in ratings.
Mahomes and Kansas City ultimately prevailed in a fun outing this weekend, ultimately winning the game 35-24.
The victory marked the Chiefs’ first conference title since 1969.
Next up for a Kansas City is Super Bowl LIV on February 2. There the Chiefs will face off against the San Francisco 49ers, who on Sunday defeated the Green Bay Packers to win the NFC Conference Championship.

What were the Fox ratings for the later game? Even still 49’ers v Packers is NOT the fireworks display that Patrick Mahomes is.
