Chad Johnson Signing With Las Vegas Raiders?
Chad Johnson has been out of the NFL since 2011. On Tuesday, he floated a possible return.
In a series of tweets, the former Cincinnati Bengals star indicated that he had a workout lined up with the Las Vegas Raiders.

Although being out of the league for nine years is no joke, in his heyday, Johnson was an absolute stud. Over the course of his career he recorded 766 receptions for 11,059 yards and 67 scores.
Would any of that translate to success in 2020, though? That is a tough question to answer.
Fortunately, an answer may not even be necessary.
After buzz began to build regarding Johnson linking up with the new-look Raiders, the organization came out and said that it was not actually aware of any workout on the books with Johnson.
Johnson took that reply in stride as well.
Of course he didn’t know, i just informed them I’m showing up to camp on my own…. https://t.co/uDPo1B7nHJ

As of Wednesday morning, nothing more has been said on the subject.
Barring a new announcement from either party, it is safe to assume that Johnson heading to the Raiders was just a joke. A funny one – for sure. But still just a joke.
