The Bengals will not take Joe Burrow, says Colin Cowherd.
According to the Fox Sports radio host, Cincinnati may go a different way.
Up to this point, the general consensus has believed that Burrow would be selected with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.
Aside from being a Heisman winner and newly-crowned National Champion, Burrow also seems to possess all of the intangibles necessary to be a franchise quarterback.
While Cowherd does not necessarily disagree with that assertion, he does think there is a better option on the table.
That option?
Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

A legitimate debate raged for part of this year regarding who the better quarterback was between Tagovailoa and Burrow.
Unfortunately, that debate came to an end when the Crimson Tide star suffered a season-ending hip injury.
Burrow, fortunately for him, did not have any bad injury luck like his counterpart.
He played out the 2020 season and ended up recording 5,671 yards and 60 touchdowns through the air, while throwing just six interceptions.
Beyond that, he also added five touchdowns on the ground for good measure.
Despite all this, Cowherd thinks Tagovailoa should go with the top pick to the Bengals.
“I would take Tua number one,” he said.
“I’ve never seen a college QB with numbers like his, ever. And he did it in the SEC.”
While Tagovailoa is definitely a stud, there are serious questions regarding what he will look like when he gets healthy.
At this point, he is still a month away from even being able to get back onto the football field for any serious workouts.
Would the Bengals really risk their top overall pick on guy whose health is such a question mark when Burrow, a seemingly better option, is right there?
Chances are, the answer to that question is probably no.
