Andy Reid Has Special Super Bowl Guest For Chiefs Game
Andy Reid has a special Super Bowl guest for the Chiefs game in attendance on Sunday.
The Kansas City head coach has invited his former boss, Philadelphia Eagles owner Jeffrey Lurie to attend.
Reid came close to winning the Super Bowl in his previous stint with the Eagles.
Unfortunately, his Donovan McNabb-led squad fell just short in their Super Bowl XXXIX showdown against the New England Patriots.
Seeing as he was back in the Super Bowl for the first time since then, Reid wanted Lurie to come see him.
Eagles’ owner Jeffrey Lurie is attending Super Bowl LIV with the hopes of seeing his close friend Andy Reid win his first Super Bowl. Lurie has had regular weekly contact with Reid this postseason, congratulating him on the Chiefs’ run and wishing him luck in Super Bowl LIV.

“Lurie has had regular weekly contact with Reid this postseason, congratulating him on the Chiefs’ run and wishing him luck in Super Bowl LIV,” ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter tweeted out.
Reid served as Philly’s head coach from 1999 to 2012. Over the course of that time, he won 130 outings and made the postseason on nine separate occasions.
After a successful stint with the Eagles, Reid left in 2013 and joined the Chiefs.
As the head coach of Kansas City, he has won 77 outings and made the postseason six times.
Will Reid ultimately be able to win a Super Bowl in front of his former owner?
We’ll find out once and for all in just a few hours.
Super Bowl LIV kicks off on Sunday, February 2 from Hard Rock Stadium in Miami, Florida at 3:30 pm PST.
