North Carolina Issues Troubling Cole Anthony Update

North Carolina issued a troubling Cole Anthony update on Sunday.

The star freshman has been dealing with an undisclosed right knee injury recently and the school reportedly wants to reexamine treatment options for him over the next week.

As of now, there is no clear timetable for Anthony’s return. He has been ruled out indefinitely.

“Carmichael Sunday starts with grim news for UNC: Cole Anthony out indefinitely with right knee injury,” Luke DeCock tweeted out.

“Leaky Black also out with a sprained foot, officially game-to-game.”

Anthony is a five-star prospect from the star-studded 2019 class.

Over the course of this young season he has been averaging 19.1 points and 3.6 assists per game.

North Carolina has a 6-3 record heading into this weekend’s game against Wofford.

The Tar Heels began the year 5-0 before dropping three of their last four to Michigan, Ohio State and Virginia.

It remains to be seen how long Anthony’s injury will keep him out for.

Without the star freshman, North Carolina is a significantly less impressive team.
