New Video Reveals What Mavs Fan Did To Chris Paul’s Family

New Video Reveals What Mavs Fan Did To Chris Paul’s Family

Controversy erupted during Game 4 of the Phoenix Suns’ showdown against the Dallas Mavericks.

In addition to having a tough game on the court, Chris Paul experienced some hardship off it as well when he noticed that a group of fans had gotten physical with members of his family.

Understandably, he reacted as such:

The fans in question were ultimately escorted out. An investigation followed, which led to the Mavericks putting out this statement:

“American Airlines Center and Dallas Mavericks security and executives have concluded the investigation into the incident involving the Paul family,” the Mavericks’ statement read. “Two unruly fans attempted to give unwanted hugs and have conversations with members of the Paul family on the public concourse of American Airlines Center.

“AAC security responded immediately once notified by the family, and the fans were swiftly ejected from the game. The fans involved in the incident will not be allowed to return to the arena until 2023.”

Understandably, though – many fans wanted to see with their own two eyes what precisely had occurred.

On Monday, video leaked out showing exactly what transpired during the encounter:

So did the original action warrant the eventual reaction? That’s for everyone to decide on their own. In the meantime, however, the young man at the center of the drama decided to take to Instagram to speak his peace.

His assessment of the situation largely speaks for itself:

Make of that what you will.

This Suns-Mavs series has ultimately been a lot more competitive than it looked like it would be after Games 1 and 2. And yet despite the stellar on-the-court product consistently on display, off-the-court dramatics have been stealing the show.

Luka Doncic’s mom has found herself in the headlines, as has Devin Booker’s girlfriend. Even Lil Wayne has wiggled his way into the mix.

And now there’s this debacle with fans and Paul’s family.

It will be interesting to see how this series progresses. If it stays as close as it has been, it wouldn’t be all that shocking to see tensions continue to stay high going forward.
