The Houston Rockets are in the midst of a tough offseason. Both of the team’s biggest stars, James Harden and Russell Westbrook, have indicated that they want to be traded. The franchise also owns the 10th highest payroll in the league heading into 2020-21, will have the 4th highest by 2021-22, and the 2nd highest by 2022-23.

This week, the hits came coming when the latest edition of the Rockets’ City Edition uniforms leaked out.

Reactions to the uniforms were pretty much what one would expect.

Obviously the Rockets were going for an Oilers feel here, but they couldn’t even nail the right shade for that.

Seeing as these jerseys haven’t officially been announced yet, there’s still plenty of time to go back to the drawing board and fix things.

Inevitably losing Harden and Westbrook over the next year is enough of an L for the franchise, having to also play in inexplicably ugly jerseys is taking things too far.
