Zion Williamson is having a rough week. On the heels of his New Orleans Pelicans getting systemically dismantled by the Los Angeles Lakers in their last game, fans have taken a harsher stance on the oft-injured 23-year-old.
Specifically, folks at home couldn’t help but notice how fat and out of shape he looked against L.A.
It got so bad that even Shaquille O’Neal, a legend notorious for having one of the worst work ethics in all of basketball history, went off on him for being lazy.
One person who decided to jump on the Williamson-hating bandwagon after that Lakers game was his old trainer. These social media posts largely speak for themselves:
Understandably, fans at home had some strong reactions to Williamson’s own ex-trainer calling him out for being fat and out of shape:

The Pelicans are rapidly approaching a point with Williamson where a decision will need to be made.
Either this kid has the makings of a franchise star, both physically or mentally, or he does not.

And if he does not, then the front office will need to make a difficult decision on whether he is worth keeping.
Can Williamson get his work ethic sorted and become the player everyone once expected him to be? Time will tell.
