At least one Los Angeles Lakers player has already slid into the DMs of new Bachelorette star Tayshia Adams.
During this week’s episode of the podcast Click Bait With Bachelor Nation, Adams made the revelation while answering the question of whether any of men from the Bachelorette cast had slid into her DMs prior to her officially being announced as Clare Crawley’s replacement.
“From Bachelor world, nobody,” she told Rachel Lindsay and Becca Kufrin. “I’ve had a lot of people just in general, but nobody Bachelor-related.”
When pressed for specifics, Adams initially attempted to be sly.
“I’m not going to say the name, but I’ve talked to a Laker,” she admitted.
“Is it Kuz?” asked Lindsay, noting that Kyle Kuzma “likes to pop in Bachelor girls’ DMs.”
Adams continued to play it coy.
“Maybe. Maybe not.”
Later in the conversation, Adams seemed to acknowledge that she had previously spoken to Kuzma, but also suggested that there was another Laker player she was referring to. Then, just as she was going to offer a name, she stopped.
“And actually I’ve talked to…No I’m not going to mention it.”

Lindsay then took a wild guess and asked if it was LeBron James.
“No, I wish,” the Bachelorette star replied. “I wish it was LeBron James.”
It is probably for the best that it isn’t James, seeing as he is happily married to Savannah Brinson.

“I wish someone really good,” Adams continued, “but no, nobody exciting.”
At that point, Lindsay took another wild guess – Anthony Davis.
Because Adams took a moment to respond, Lindsay accepted that as confirmation.

“That is just as great,” she said. “Oh my god! You better work that unibrow!”
At that point, Adams seemed to deny that it was in fact Davis.
“I died,” she said. “I literally died. No, my little brother would die, too. No, nobody exciting. The tea is dry, or it’s cold. I’m so sorry. I wish I had something good.”
Sadly, due to Adams’ refusal to commit to an actual name, we will never know which player besides Kuzma tried to get at her.
It will go down as one of America’s great mysteries alongside with where Jimmy Hoffa is buried and what really happened to JFK.
