The Golden State Warriors took a commanding 2-0 series lead over the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday evening in their first round playoff showdown.
Jordan Poole lit up the stat sheet once more in this outing, putting up 29 points on the day – serving as Golden State’s second-highest scorer after Stephen Curry.
That said, Poole didn’t go viral this week for anything he did in Game 2. Rather, it was his Game 1 antics that landed him in the headlines.
Following a spectacular performance in the opening game of the Nuggets series, Poole did an interview with ESPN’s Malika Andrews. During that interview, folks couldn’t help but notice something about the exchange.
Reactions poured in immediately.

Poole is firing on all cylinders these days. For a young guy, he has the skills and swagger that match up perfectly with the Warriors’ older vets like Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green.
The Warriors and Nuggets series has been so uncompetitive that folks have been searching for any storylines they can to latch onto. Riley Curry looking completely grown up was one, obviously. This is another.

If Golden State ends up sweeping Denver, expect more stuff like this to go viral in the coming days.
