Jimmy Butler is entering the final year of contract with the Miami Heat.
Both sides are deeply unhappy with each other and want to move on.
Back in June of this year, the Golden State Warriors began expressing interest in adding the multiple-time All-Star.
During a recent appearance on the TK Show, Sam Amick broke down in detail the Warriors’ interest in Butler.
“Jimmy Butler’s going to be a free agent next summer,” he said.
“Didn’t get an extension done. The Warriors have interest there and probably made a couple calls [to Miami] this summer.”
According to Brooklyn Nets insider Robert Windrem, the Nets are another team to watch for Butler.
Jimmy Butler’s interest in the Brooklyn Nets is ‘very’ real, partly due to a connection with Ben Simmons, per @NetsDaily

“Jimmy Butler’s interest in the Brooklyn Nets is very, very real. Part of it is New York; part of it is that Bernie Lee, who is a Ben Simmons agent, is very happy with how his client has been dealt with by the Nets,” Windrem said.
“Looking at the Nets’ roster, cap space, and future draft picks, Butler may not fit the team’s timeline. However, I wouldn’t be shocked if these rumors gain traction.”
Will Butler ultimately end up with the Warriors, Nets or someone else entirely in 2025? Time will tell.
