Victor Oladipo Calls Out Pacers, Thunder For Lying To Him

Victor Oladipo once seemed poised to have a Hall of Fame career.

Unfortunately, injuries ultimately robbed him of his athleticism and eventually his time in the NBA.

This past week Oladipo took a reflective position on his team in the league and cleared up some misconceptions about what happened to him.

First – he made it known that the Indiana Pacers never offered him $160 million.

“I never, ever, got offered $160 million,” he said.

“Maybe one day in the future. [They offered] three years, $80 [million]. Less than what I had but pretty much about the same. My doctors and everybody was telling me I was getting healthier, even though, unfortunately, my surgery wasn’t done correctly.

“I made that decision, thinking I was getting better. And then, my first three or four games in Indy that year, I averaged 20. That’s why they traded me. Inside scoop, they knew my sh*t was f**ked up too/ That’s pretty much what happened, never got $160 million, I would’ve took it.”

Oladipo also took a moment to call out the Oklahoma City Thunder.

“Yeah, I got traded from OKC,” he said.

“Didn’t even know. They ain’t tell me just… I just bought a crib. Told them I was buying a crib. I got traded twice in one year. So I got to, I got to recall. You went from OKC to Indiana? I went from Orlando to OKC. OKC to Indiana. Within a year, I had to move three times.”

Oladipo was deeply talented, but he is also a classic case of how important good luck is in order to have a fruitful NBA career.
