Bronny James’ decision to commit to USC as where he will be playing college ball has led to a lot of speculation about what his first season as a Trojan will look like.
Head coach Andy Enfield did what he needed to do – he got Bronny.
Now he just needs to figure out how to utilize him.
One of the big questions facing all parties involved is whether Bronny will start or come off the bench next year.
According to college hoops insider Jon Rothstein, the latter option seems to be very likely.

Isaiah Collier, Boogie Ellis, Kobe Johnson, DJ Rodman, Joshua Morgan

Although the prospect of an incoming freshman coming off the bench doesn’t seem all that crazy in general terms, Bronny’s celebrity complicates the equation to some degree.
Some fans don’t seem to believe that he will be relegated to Sixth Man status.

Bronny needs to start the year as 6th man, I’m interested to see how Vince developed this off-season and if he can battle Morgan for the job although I like them both

Bronny will be a starter just cause it’s bronny

What really sets Bronny apart from a lot of his peers is his maturity. He lacks the physical gifts that both his dad and younger brother have, but he hasn’t let that slow him down.
Bronny’s mental fortitude is next level. Between the way he ignores people scrutinizing his love life and the way he has dismissed the critical analysis of his game, nothing bothers him.
And it’s hard to see a scenario where he would be all that put off by initially coming off the bench. Especially if it would help USC succeed.
What an offseason for the Los Angeles Lakers. https://t.co/ohpvafhNNK

One way or another, Bronny figures to be an integral part of the Trojans’ plans going forward.
The question is just what his role will be and how prominently he will be featured in the beginning.
Will Bronny end up starting or coming off the bench when it’s all said and done? Time will tell.
