Ty Lawson has been banned for life from the Chinese Basketball Association over an inappropriate post on Instagram.
The former NBA guard published photos of himself and a woman to his Instagram stories that was deemed unacceptable.

Lawson, 32, has spent the last three years playing in the CBA for Shandong and Fujian.
Originally, the former North Carolina standout was drafted with the 18th overall pick by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2009 and promptly shipped to the Denver Nuggets.
Lawson spent six years there before being traded to the Houston Rockets in 2015.

From there he enjoyed short stints with the Indiana Pacers and Sacramento Kings, before ultimately making his way to China in 2017.
After a brief return to the NBA to sign with the Washington Wizards, he went back to China to play for Shandong.

Since 2019, Lawson has been signed to the Fujian Sturgeons.
With his CBA career now seemingly over, it will be interesting to see what Lawson’s next move will be.
Neither Lawson nor his reps have commented on the CBA’s decision as of Saturday morning.
