The Golden State Warriors fell to the Los Angeles Lakers on Monday night and now face a 3-1 hole in their best-of-seven NBA playoff series.
Many Warriors fans have had trouble coping with their team’s effectiveness against a Lakers group that looked terrible up until the NBA Trade Deadline.
This has led to a number of bizarre conspiracies regarding why L.A. looks so good and Golden State looks bad. Lakers fans have dubbed this sort of crazy talk as “InfoWarriors” chatter.

On Monday night, following his team’s latest loss, Warriors head coach Steve Kerr decided to get in on the action. He too opted to blame his squad’s woes on some vast refereeing conspiracy.
“I think we had three or four illegal screens called, and that was disappointing,” he said.
“I didn’t get a look at the replay on any of them, but there were a couple that were very disappointing live. But the Lakers are a team that plays with a lot of gamesmanship. They understand how to generate some calls.
“I thought they took some flops and were rewarded. But I’ll have to see the replays. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe those were all illegal screens, but it didn’t feel like it watching the game.”

If it feels like the Warriors are falling apart mentally both on and off the court at the moment, it is because they definitely are.
Between young guys fighting with old guys over their roles on the team, Jordan Poole’s weird $500,000 date with Ice Spice and the conspiratorial excuse-making going on, it’s one thing after another.
Will the Warriors be able to come back against the Lakers and return the franchise to some semblance of respectability in this series? Time will tell.
