Steph Curry Recruits Giannis Antetokounmpo During Warriors-Bucks

Steph Curry recruited Giannis Antetokounmpo during a Warriors-Bucks game recently.

Or at least it looked like he did.

Golden State has been absolutely ravaged by injuries over the past year. As a result of Curry and Klay Thompson being out, the team is 9-30 and undeniably one of the league’s worst squads.

That said, unlike the Cleveland Cavaliers who look like they will be awful for the next decade, the Warriors should bounce back soon.

Much like the San Antonio Spurs before the drafted Tim Duncan, Golden State will likely be back in title contention next year with the addition of a top draft pick and return of its two biggest stars.

One other thing that could help the Warriors bounce back strong?

Adding a superstar like Antetokounmpo.

The reigning league MVP is due to hit free agency after next year and the Warriors are considered to be one of the top suitors for his services.

This past Wednesday night, Golden State squared off against Antetokounmpo’s Milwaukee Bucks. After the game, Curry could be seen delivering a clear message to Antetokounmpo.

“Let’s do it! C’mon man,” he appeared to say.

Obviously context is key and the context of Curry’s conversation with Antetokounmpo is unclear – but it certainly adds fuel to the fire.

To date, Antetokounmpo has consistently maintained that he wishes to remain with the Bucks.

That said, that was also what Kevin Durant and Anthony Davis said before leaving the teams that drafted them.

Will Antetokounmpo ultimately end up with the Warriors? We should find out for sure in a little more than a year.
