Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Doesn’t Have LeBron James In Top 5

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is one of the brightest young talents in the NBA today.

Although his Oklahoma City Thunder have yet to enjoy any actual success, the 25-year-old’s star power is off-the-charts both on and off the court.

This week, Gilgeous-Alexander weighed in on something of a dicey topic: who is in his top five.

While the names Gilgeous-Alexander opted to include aren’t all that shocking, one of his notable omissions definitely was.

Kobe Bryant, Michael Jordan, Allen Iverson, Shaquille O’Neal and Kevin Durant are nothing to sneeze at. But not including LeBron James? That definitely caught some fans off guard.

Reactions poured in immediately:

Big picture, this has been a massive year for Gilgeous-Alexander.

Between his MVP-caliber play on the court and his and his girlfriend’s rise to fame off it, the man is a legit star.

And with Chet Holmgren (who is looking very jacked these days) returning to the fold for OKC in 2023, the Thunder could make some noise.

It really wouldn’t be all that shocking to see Gilgeous-Alexander’s Thunder give James’ Los Angeles Lakers a real run for their money this season.
