New Orleans Pelicans star Zion Williamson has been in the news quite a bit over the past few months.
It started with questions about why he wouldn’t return to help his squad in the playoffs, and it ended with nonstop scrutiny over his ‘personal’ issues.
Somewhere along the way New Orleans seemed to entertain the prospect of trading Williamson – only to ultimately hold off on making any sort of drastic moves.
What has Williamson been up to this entire time while the rest of the world has been talking about him nonstop? Working out, it would appear.
New photos of Williamson during an NBA offseason practice surfaced this week, and the man looks like an absolute monster.

NBA fans always have been and always will be the most vocal folks around, so understandably, they had strong reactions to the imagery.
They immediately flocked to social media to respond.
60+ games this year or I’ll never vouch for him again https://t.co/t8aFa7r3Zz

How many offseasons we gone do this with disappointments like Zion and Ben Simmons? Every summer they show Zion doing a windmill and I still have yet to see Ben Simmons miss a single shot in offseason workout videos. https://t.co/dY0UT09ZAp

All in all, the 2023-24 season will be a huge one for Williamson.
It is essentially make or break time for the former Duke standout. He will either justify the hype that led to him being taken with the first overall pick in the draft, or he will be traded.
No wonder Canada’s players looked so distracted out there. https://t.co/qcTpzDqzqB

There is no in-between.
Will Williamson eventually be able to play up to the lofty expectations that the Pelicans and fans around the NBA have set for him? Time will tell.
