Caitlin Clark’s rookie campaign in the WNBA hasn’t gone as smoothly as many expected it would.
In her first year as a pro Clark has had to deal with one issue after another. She has been violently brutalized by other players and bullied in a particularly mean-spirited fashion.
Some have argued that Clark is the most racially persecuted athlete in sports since Jackie Robinson.
This week, photos surfaced showing just how intense of punishment Clark has had to put up with in the WNBA.

Reactions on social media to the imagery were largely what one would expect given the current state of affairs:
If it is a real sport this is what is expected .. Jesus Christ .. Who really cares !! Football season is right around the corner … It’s the WNBA … in the grand scheme of things no one is watching or cares.. all this attention is really unnecessary.

Big picture, Clark is a massive star – but that hasn’t stopped other WNBA players from ‘welcoming her to the league’ in their own special way.
Nobody is going to be able to save her from that. She will just have to endure it.
Will Clark ultimately find a way to persevere in the end? Time will tell.
