Lauri Markkanen is the biggest name currently available on the trade block in the NBA.
Three teams have expressed serious interest in Markkanen: the Los Angeles Lakers, Golden State and Miami Heat.
Of that group, L.A.’s offer leaked out first. Then Golden State’s. Then Miami’s.
Markkanen doesn’t want to go to the Lakers. The other two squads are viable contenders, though.
This week NBA insider Mike Miller spoke out on his podcast about who he believes will ultimately end up trading for Markkanen.
“I don’t think Golden State can be done [in free agency],” Miller said. “If you’re serious about winning, they have to make a big move.”

“They’re trying to get Lauri Markkanen,” Shams Charania responded.
“They’re going to. I think they’re going to,” Miller said.
Time will tell if Golden State can pull off a trade for Markkanen. At the moment, their refusal to include one key player in any sort of trade is preventing a deal from going down.
If the Warriors’ position changes over the next few weeks, though – maybe Miller’s prediction about Markkanen will be proven correct.
