Lakers Insider Reveals Team’s Top Priority Ahead Of NBA Trade Deadline

The Los Angeles Lakers are 19-20 after 39 games and desperately need to make a big move ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline.

As things presently stand, this team has multiple weaknesses. Because of that, L.A. has been linked to a myriad of moves including a big trade with the Portland Trail Blazers and two big name superstars.

That being said, in the front office’s mind, there is one big area that needs to be addressed.

“The number 1 need they feel like they need to address before the deadline is the offense end, bring more shooting, bring in maybe another off-the-dribble scorer because right now it’s like, LeBron [James] and [Anthony Davis] are dropping 30 points every night and they’re still struggling,” Jovan Buha of The Athletic reported.

It is hard to argue with that rationale. It is borderline insane that a team can have as much talent at the top of the roster as the Lakers clearly have, only to be so weak from the third position down.

Something needs to be fixed.

In recent days the Lakers have been linked to a pair of blockbuster trades, a possible swap with the Memphis Grizzlies and a potential trade for Buddy Hield.

But obviously nothing is official until it is official.

Will the Lakers be able to address their top weakness ahead of the NBA Trade Deadline? Time will tell.
