The Golden State Warriors agreed to trade Jordan Poole to the Washington Wizards on Thursday.
In return for Poole, a protected 2030 first-round pick and a 2027 second-round pick, Golden State gets Chris Paul.
With this move, the longstanding question about how Poole and Draymond Green will continue to co-exist following their infamous fight is finally answered.
Poole’s remarks after the season about where his relationship with Green stood made it clear that there was no love lost between the pair.
Neither did his first move immediately after being traded.
Eagle-eyed fans quickly noticed that, as soon as the trade news went viral, Poole unfollowed Green on Instagram.

Understandably, NBA fans had some interesting reactions to Poole’s quick move to unfollow his now-former teammate.
They flocked to social media to weigh in.
Draymond leveraged the warriors to trade poole when he declined his option. No wonder poole doesn’t like the guy https://t.co/1lrWo4dpHk

Big picture, it will be interesting to see how this trade works out for all parties involved.
In Paul, Golden State gets an oft-injured 38-year-old who also happens to be one of the greatest point guards the game has ever seen. What they plan to do with him is unclear.
As far as Poole goes – this is his opportunity to hit the “reset” button his career. Off the court, he is a star. Between his dalliances with pop stars and unique way with the ladies, he has all the attributes necessary to be a big name in the league. He just needs to put it together on the court with more consistency.

Maybe now that he doesn’t have to shoulder championship expectations like he did with the Warriors he will have the freedom to do that.
Will Poole eventually make Golden State rue the day that they quit on him? Time will tell.
