Pelicans Star Zion Williamson Names Best Rapper Alive (Video)
For a big star, Zion Williamson is generally pretty reserved.
Although he will go viral for the occasional impressive dunk in practice, he tends to keep a fairly low profile.
This week, though – Williamson came out with a bold take.
In a now-viral clip on social media, the New Orleans Pelicans star weighs in on who the best rapper in the game is at the moment. His answer caught some folks off guard:
“Gotta go with Youngboy” 😂

“My opinion right now, out of the young core, I gotta go with YoungBoy,” he said.
With social media being what it is, reactions to Williamson’s take came quickly:

Rap preferences aside, this is going to be a big summer for Williamson. He is expected to receive and agree to a massive rookie contract extension with the Pelicans, though the precise terms of it remain unclear.
Recent imagery of the big man shows that he seems to be in the best shape of his life right now. Williamson appears very skinny and on the road to a swift recovery.

After seemingly months of nonstop bad news, Williamson and the Pelicans appear to have turned a corner.
How long will the good times last?
Time will tell.
