Kevin Durant’s Blunt Response To Being Scared Of Lakers
The Los Angeles Lakers’ acquisition of Russell Westbrook ahead of last week’s 2021 NBA Draft reshuffled the league’s hierarchy. Previously, the Brooklyn Nets were clearly the best team on paper. Now it’s debatable.
As things currently stand, most sportsbooks have Brooklyn and LA at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, as it pertains to title odds
On Sunday, a fan on Twitter suggested that LA was in big trouble next season due to the team’s lack of shooting. What followed was an exchange that left Nets star Kevin Durant fending off accusations that he was scared of the Lakers.
The Twitter exchange largely speaks for itself. It began with a second fan insinuating that Durant was afraid of the new-look Lakers.
Kd definitely running this account. Scared to fuckin death 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 https://t.co/znfZnxE3qW

Durant then fired back in fairly blunt terms.
Scared of what cuffs?

The Lakers’ lack of shooting heading into next year is something of an open secret at this juncture. Fortunately, they still have a very viable path to attaining one of the league’s most formidable three-point threats.
If that doesn’t work, three established veterans have expressed interest in taking less money to play for LA.

One way or another, it feels like the Lakers will be able to fix their shooting woes.
Will it be enough to help them overcome Durant and the Nets, though? Time will tell.
