Kevin Durant Reveals Who Will Be Next Face Of The NBA
Kevin Durant is widely regarded as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Two championships, two NBA Finals MVPs, and one regular-season MVP are accolades that speak for themselves.
Because of all his accomplishments, Durant is uniquely qualified to speak on talent both past and present. Few are more equipped to analyze modern day players and their influence than him.
This week, Durant touched on an interesting topic – who he expects will be the next face of the league when he, LeBron James and the players from that generation retire.
Kevin Durant was asked who are the next ones who to serve as face of the league with LeBron James, Stephen Curry and himself having been those guys.”

“I think each era has five, six, seven guys that can help carry the game forward,” Durant said.
“It’s more than just Steph [Curry], LeBron [James], and myself it’s James Harden, it’s Russell Westbrook, it’s Kawhi Leonard… a lot of these guys will inspire the next generation of hoopers to want to be professionals. It’s more than just a few guys.
“I look around the league and I see Shai [Gilgeous-Alexander], [Anthony Edwards], [Devin Booker], Luka [Doncic], Tyrese Maxey, Tyrese Haliburton, it’s so many guys that are inspiring the next generation of hoopers after them to become basketball players.”
Durant is often in the headlines for random stuff like flirting with popular actresses, his beef with Draymond Green and partying it up with Taylor Rooks.

But the truth is, he has a mind for basketball unlike most. It is truly special and deeply thoughtful.
His commentary on the next face of the league is evidence of that.
Will the players Durant mentioned step up to the occasion and truly take the baton from guys like him, Curry and James? An answer one way or the other will emerge in the next few years.
