Jay-Z Reveals Kobe Bryant’s Last Words

Jay-Z revealed Kobe Bryant’s last words to him in a recent interview.

Bryant, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna and seven others died in a helicopter crash on January 26.

The aftermath of his passing has led to a lot of reflection on his life and the lessons that could be gleaned from his attitude, behavior and overall legacy.

Recently, Jay-Z attended a Roc Nation Sports event and was asked about his relationship with Bryant.

The rap legend revealed that he and Bryant had spent time together on New Year’s.

Then he shared the heartbreaking conversation the pair had regarding Bryant’s young daughter, Gianna.

“One of the last things he said to me was, ‘You gotta see Gianna play basketball,’” Jay-Z said.

The 13-year-old was a rising star in youth basketball. Her dream was to one day play for UConn’s storied women’s team and then go on to play in the WNBA.

“The look on his face, I looked at him and said, ‘oh, she’s going to be the best female basketball player in the world’” Jay-Z said.

“He was just so proud.”

A public memorial is currently being scheduled for Bryant and Gianna.

Finalized details are expected to be announced at some point in the next few weeks.
