Ja Morant’s 4-Word Message After Leading Grizzlies To Win
Ja Morant returned to the Memphis Grizzlies on Tuesday night after serving out a 25-game suspension to start the year.
Last season, Morant landed in the headlines for everything from his rambunctious partying to his off-the-court female issues. Eventually, the league decided to step in and penalize him with a lengthy punishment.
Apparently the 24-year-old has been putting in serious work during his time away.
Not only did he return this week and lead the Grizzlies to a win, but he did so in the most incredible fashion imageable.
With the score knotted at 113 and seven seconds remaining in the outing, Morant drove to the hole and hit the game-winner over the outstretched arms of multiple New Orleans Pelicans defenders:

Afterwards, Morant delivered an emphatic four-word message to fans and haters alike:

“I kept receipts, too,” Morant defiantly stated.
Morant finished the night with 34 points on 12-of-24 shooting. Of that total, 14 points came in the final quarter of play.
“I’ve been putting work in, man,” Morant said during the postgame press conference.
“I ain’t play a game in eight months. Had a lot of time to learn myself. A lot of hard days where I went through it. But you know, basketball is my life — what I love, therapeutic for me. And I’m just excited to be back.”

Memphis badly needed Morant to come back. They were 6-19 coming into Tuesday night and riding a five-game losing streak.
Morant obviously has his fair share of off-the-court issues, but on the court, the man is an absolute beast. Is this the beginning of a major turnaround for the Grizzlies? Time will tell.
