Clippers Twitter Account Reveals Kawhi Leonard Drama, Ty Lue Beef
The Los Angeles Clippers revealed on Wednesday morning that team star Kawhi Leonard sustained a torn meniscus in his right knee.
Officials apparently discovered this injury prior to Game 3 of the team’s first-round playoff series against the Phoenix Suns, but didn’t go public with it until they were officially eliminated from the postseason on Tuesday.
Somehow that wasn’t even the worst news to come out of the Clippers’ camp today, though.
In the aftermath of L.A. getting bounced from the postseason, a team insider took to social media and divulged a number of issues plaguing the organization involving Leonard, head coach Ty Lue and much more.
Ty Lue hates the FO, Vice Versa. Most of the players hate Ty as well. Anything they say about him in the media after he leaves is complete cap.
Ty Lue kept playing those 3-4 guard lineups cuz he’s trolling before he dips.

Mook requested a trade multiple times, yet I genuinely have no clue why they didn’t acknowledge it. Why do that to a player or the team? Eventually after the deadline he waltzed up to them and told them he was either a starter or he went home. And he went home.

That’s why he was on HASP for like 2 weeks dude was throwing a temper tantrum cuz he didn’t want his ego hurt. Ty enabled this too Lmfao it’s crazy. I don’t know what happened after or why he came back to the team. Props to him for coming to his senses I guess.

Reggie was a lowkey a dick too that nice guy persona got the fraud alert so fast it’s so crazy. Cold shoulders, no in game effort, pouting, all the works. Players perception of him changed real quick.

We all know Ty would rather shoot people out of the game vs lock them down. But once the FO started to push for more defensive lineups, he got salty and stuck to the guard rotations out of spite. His friendship with Mook didn’t help either.

Once they did that Ty Lue decided he’s gonna fuck around. He knows the guard lineups don’t work, he’s not dumb. They were intentional. It’s his petty protest against the FO.
Ty Lue threw the season on purpose.

All those cryptic Twitter likes from Roco and Tmann were public cries for help. They got a year of their NBA careers wasted just cuz of Ty. Tmann ain’t a big Ty fan any longer.

Kawhi is a funny guy too. That Memphis game he sat out at the half had nothing to do with the medical staff. He decided that on his own and didn’t tell anyone. Legit just ghosted the team mid game.
— Cancun Content (@clipperscontent) April 26, 2023
Then the last Pelicans game back in March where Kawhi left early, he wasn’t even hurt at all. He just had an excuse to leave and he took it. Ghosted them again.

It’s wild seeing that cuz guys like Tmann Zu Norm Mook Reggie played hurt or not 100%. Sad to see that your “franchise” player can’t do the same.

The whole org is run by paranoid boomers who would have a melt down if they got normal media coverage. Again compared to other orgs they’re pushing that China North Korea censorship lmaoo. You will straight lose your creds if you cross VAGUE lines.
— Cancun Content (@clipperscontent) April 26, 2023
Obv you can’t go up and ask controversial questions and all that, that’ll get you axed at any org. But there used to be semi forwardness with the fans when it came to just normal info. Now everything is slammed into a box of privacy. A lot of this was pre 213 btw.

Example A: This LA sports writer is literally BANNED from Clipper games because he posted this video of Kawhi. Which is absolutely INSANE.💀 I’ve seen first hand how they change rules/policies out of nowhere. Can get confusing as to what you can and cannot do. https://t.co/0zBPzqBVfJ

Yikes.
Understandably, questions have since arisen about whether Lue will continue to serve as the team’s head coach. Based on his postgame comments on Tuesday, for now, the answer appears to be yes.
“First of all, I just want to thank our fans,” Lue said.
“They have been unbelievable this year. Sticking behind us during the inconsistencies of lineups and different things. They stuck behind us 100%, and so I just want to thank the fans. They were great, all year long, my whole tenure here. The last three years have been great.”
When asked if he plans to return next year, Lue replied with a “Yes, sir.”
Time will tell if he ends up being right about that.
The video speaks for itself. https://t.co/QfJxRS7MFx

This has been a brutal week for the Clippers. Between Leonard’s sister getting life in prison without the possibility of parole, Stephen A. Smith weighing in on that situation and how the season ultimately ended, it has been one blow after another.
Will the Clippers be able to get it together in 2023-24 and finally do something even remotely meeting the expectations set for them when this super team was put together? Time will tell.
