Chris Paul Explains Why Scott Foster Hates Him So Much (Video)
Chris Paul’s rivalry with Scott Foster has long been a longstanding joke in basketball circles.
Paul’s playoff record in games officiated by Foster is 2-17.
Unfortunately, their beef reached new levels on Wednesday night when they engaged in something of a testy back-and-forth during the Golden State Warriors’ game against the Phoenix Suns:

After the game, Paul went into great detail about why precisely Foster seems to hate him so much.
As it turns out – the bad blood runs pretty deep.
CP3 says “it’s personal” with Scott Foster and it involves Chris Paul’s son.

“It’s personal,” Paul said.
“We had a situation some years ago, and it’s personal. The league knows, everybody knows. There’s been a meeting and all that. It’s just a situation with my son.
“… I’m OK with a ref talking, saying whatever. Just don’t use a tech to get your point across. I’ve got to do a better job making sure I stay on the floor for my teammates. That’s that.”

Foster, for his part, maintains that he made the right call ejecting Paul from the Warriors game.
“How did Chris Paul escalate the situation to be given a second technical foul, leading to his ejection from the game?” he was asked.
“He continued to complain and received a second unsportsmanlike technical foul,” Foster replied.
Obviously in a 24-hour span where Oklahoma City Thunder guard Josh Giddey got caught up in a deeply disturbing controversy, nobody will care about this Paul-Foster beef.

It will likely be forgotten over the course of Thanksgiving Day.
But it probably shouldn’t be.
The NBA would be wise to investigate this ongoing situation between Paul and Foster, because as things are presently going, it may impact people’s perceptions regarding the integrity of the game.
