Blazers’ Damian Lillard Reveals His Biggest Flaw
Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard is widely regarded as one of the realest players in the NBA.
Whereas others try to polish their image or present themselves as something they aren’t, Lillard is 100 percent authentic. He stands behind what he says and backs it up on and off the court.
This was abundantly clear when he kept it real regarding Luka Doncic’s play this year, spoke about his own squad’s championship chances, and told it how it was when it came to Conor McGregor’s last fight.
A few days ago Lillard took to Instagram to reveal his greatest flaw.
It probably wasn’t the one that most folks would’ve immediately thought of, but it definitely makes sense in the context of who Lillard is.
“My loyalty is my biggest flaw…I’m too solid for this weird a*s era,” Lillard said on Instagram.
It’s tough to disagree with that assessment.
In an era where everyone can’t jump to a super team quickly enough, Lillard is content staying with the Blazers for the long haul.
And to his credit, he’s doing a very formidable job leading that franchise.
Currently they’re 29-18 on the year – tied for 5th in the West with the Denver Nuggets. Just half a game separates them from the fourth-place Los Angeles Lakers.

Amid it all Lillard is having a tremendous year. He is averaging 29.8 points, 7.8 assists and 4.3 rebounds per game all while shooting 45 percent from the field and 38 percent from three.
While he likely won’t win an MVP this year, Lillard has once again reaffirmed himself in 2021 as one of the league’s best players.
For that reason alone, hopefully he continues to get the respect he deserves.
