Ayesha Curry has established a reputation for herself in recent years as an important pop culture figure. Initially simply recognized as the wife of Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry, Ayesha is now known for being a restaurant connoisseur and general influencer.
It should come as no surprise then that when she published recent photos of herself looking very different, they immediately went viral.
In the new photographs she appears nothing like her old self.
“Verified Mom goes blonde (temporarily),” she captioned the Instagram photo.
Fans reacted immediately.

After everything that has happened in 2020, y’all still on here dragging Black women.
And the sad part is, it’s mostly Black women attacking Ayesha Curry.
So it’s only “protect Black women” when it’s a Black woman that y’all like. 🤔 pic.twitter.com/DfpjTqKLj5

In response to the fan reactions, Ayesha addressed her new look on Twitter.
It’s the fun wig for a switch up and extremely common IG filter we all use from time to time for me… I just… y’all be taking this stuff wayyy to serious.

The response to Ayesha’s new look is a natural part of internet culture. When you are an influencer, which she is, you live by the reactions and die by the reactions. The key is to simply revel in the praise and let the criticism roll off your back, because inevitably, there will always be criticism.
