Anthony Davis Reveals Who Deserves Blame For Timberwolves Loss
The Los Angeles Lakers lost in heartbreaking fashion to the Minnesota Timberwolves on Saturday night.
After the game, team star Anthony Davis spoke to the media regarding who he believes deserves the blame for the defeat.
“I mean, any time you lose, whether I play well or play poorly, you know, it’s always bothering,” he said.
“You always think about, especially me just now, I missed two big free throws and we lose by two. So, right, man, that type of game going over time or game, the outcome may be happening a little differently.
“So, anytime you lose a shot, look back and think of what could you have done better as a team and individually.”
Davis kept shouldering the blame, pointing to the two free throws that he really felt like could have swung the tide for his squad.

“The first thing that comes to mind is those two free throws, which is rare,” he continued. “It’s very rare for me.”
Davis finished this particular outing with 33 points, 17 rebounds and eight assists. If there is one person who shouldn’t blame themselves for the Wolves loss, it is definitely him. He did his part.
As evidenced by LeBron James’ face in a huddle with Darvin Ham, the Lakers’ head coach should probably be the one making the speech that Davis ultimately made. He dropped the ball, again, repeatedly throughout this one.

Ham and the NBA refs are probably the most to blame for the Lakers losing on Saturday night.
Will Davis and the Lakers ultimately be able to right the ship in 2024 and repeat last season’s successful run to the Western Conference Finals? Time will tell.
