Lakers Announce Surprising LeBron James Injury Update

The Lakers announced a surprising LeBron James injury update on Saturday.

Fresh off a dominant victory over the Dallas Mavericks, most expected James to follow up on arguably his most impressive performance of the year.

With Anthony Davis out, James beat Dallas down to the tune of 35 points and 16 rebounds.

Unfortunately, James will not be able to follow that performance up because he will not play against the Oklahoma City Thunder.

According to an official statement by the team, James will sit out Saturday’s showdown with Chris Paul’s Thunder due to an illness.

The same statement noted that Danny Green will also be out.

Currently the Lakers hold a four and a half game lead over the Denver Nuggets for the Western Conference’s top seed.

Overall, they have the second best record in the NBA behind the Milwaukee Bucks.

Presuming James recovers in time, the next time he can suit up for the Lakers will be on Monday when they take on the Cleveland Cavaliers.
