Tense Moment Between Stephen Curry, Jordan Poole Goes Viral

The Golden State Warriors were eliminated from the NBA playoffs by the Los Angeles Lakers this week.

One particularly tense moment from the outing between Stephen Curry and Jordan Poole went viral shortly thereafter.

After one good performance in Game 1 against the Lakers, Poole averaged 5.8 points on 30.2 percent shooting over the remaining five games. During that stretch he went 1-of-17 from the field and scored 29 total points.

After his Warriors were eliminated from the postseason, Curry was asked about Poole specifically.

“Everybody’s going to get better,” Curry said.

“Everybody’s going to take the next step. Everybody’s going to learn the lessons that you learned this year and try to put them into use next year.

“I don’t know what the opportunity is going to be. I don’t know what the roster will look like. I don’t know what, sitting here right now, what Opening Night is going to look like in terms of who’s going to be asked to do what, but I have a lot of confidence in everybody being able to take advantage of the summer.”

Between his $500,000 “munch” date with Ice Spice and incessant pouting about his diminishing role, Poole made a lot of headlines over the past few weeks.

Just not for any notable on-the-court accomplishments.

Will he and Curry ultimately find a way to get back on the same page for the 2023-24 NBA season? Time will tell.
