Creighton Cheerleader’s Photos Cause A Stir After San Diego Loss
Creighton suffered an unfortunate defeat to San Diego State this weekend that will ultimately keep them out of the Final Four.
It was not without controversy.
Late in the outing, with the score knotted at 56 apiece, Darrion Trammell clanked a bucket with the clock almost at zero. Just when it looked like San Diego State’s luck had run out, Creighton’s Ryan Nembhard was whisteled for a foul on the shot attempt.
The result? Trammell heading to the free throw line with 1.2 seconds remaining in the game.

Trammell promptly missed the first free throw but ended up making the second. And that was all she wrote.
Unfortunately, while the Bluejays’ players came up short on the court, the program’s cheerleaders more than delivered this weekend.
In the aftermath of the defeat, the school’s official social media account shared a post shouting out the dancers. It was a huge hit.

Shortly thereafter, fans began seeking out the personal accounts of the cheerleaders involved – making sure that all their recent posts go viral.
One cheerleader in particular proved to be a huge fan favorite.

This sort of thing has become a trend throughout this year’s March Madness tournament. Between the San Diego State cheerleaders who set the internet ablaze with their wild photos and the Texas dancers who blew up online over theirs, it has been happening like clockwork.
This is just the latest example of it.

Obviously Creighton’s players, fans and cheerleaders are disappointed at how the year ended. And understandably so.
But the season as a whole was still a huge win. Presumably, the squad will be back even stronger in 2023-24.
Will Creighton right this season’s wrong next year and actually make it to the Final Four at that point? Time will tell.
