Bill Simmons Calls Out Fat Boy Luka Doncic Amid Mavericks Struggles
Bill Simmons has never been one to bite his tongue when it comes to his NBA hot takes.
There is a reason his brutally honest critique of Bronny James caused such a stir.
This week, amid the Dallas Mavericks dropping Game 1 against the Los Angeles Clippers in their best-of-seven first round series, Simmons came back with harsh words for Luka Doncic.
“I was kinda shocked,” Simmons said of Doncic. “I was surprised, he didn’t seem totally in shape to me. Maybe this is who he’s been all year, I just haven’t seen him in person in a few months.”

Simmons didn’t stop there, though.
“I wish he was in better shape,” he continued. “I’d like to introduce him to a couple salads and maybe some sparkling water and some fruit.”

“Sparkling water?” Kevin O’Connor chimed in.
“Well, instead of soda,” Simmons responded. “Or the teas. What does he drink? The sweet teas?”
Obviously the topic of Doncic being fat isn’t a new issue. He has battled it consistently throughout his career.

That said – Doncic did guide the Mavericks into the NBA playoffs and is an MVP candidate in many people’s eyes.
Will Doncic and the Mavs be able to make a deep playoff run and shut haters like Simmons up once and for all? Time will tell.
